Barcelona Getafe ready to negotiate

Angel Rodriguez has become the top candidate as Barcelona‘s pursuit of a forward continues.

The Catalan club are able to sign players from the Spanish market because of the long-term injury suffered by Ousmane Dembele.

Getafe would be powerless to stop Angel moving if Barcelona choose to trigger his 10 million euro release clause.

The Blaugrana are working on a budget and have no more than 20 million euros to spend on an emergency forward.

That’s why moves for both Rodrigo Moreno and Willian Jose failed after Valencia and Real Sociedad‘s price tags were too high.

Barcelona have recently contacted Real Betis over signing Loren Moron and their offer of between 15 and 20 million isn’t enough, with Betis asking for 30 million.

Due to these financial restrictions, Barcelona‘s shortlist has been narrowed down to Loren, Lucas Perez and Angel.

Getafe president Angel Torres is prepared to negotiate the transfer of Angel, who has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season.

Barcelona have failed in their attempts to sign a series of strikers thus far and, as such, two further names have been added towards the bottom of their shortlist: Ante Budimir from Real Mallorca and Enes Unal from Real Valladolid, though the latter is currently on loan from Villarreal.

A few days ago, Levante striker Roger Marti seemed to be an option, however the Valencian side’s 30 million euro price tag quickly put an end to any hopes of reaching an agreement.
