Arsenal vs Huddersfield

Arsenal hosted Huddersfield on Saturday as they looked to make it 21 games in a row without defeat.

The Gunners started the day in 5th place but they were only out of the top four due to goal difference.

4th place Chelsea are also facing league leaders Manchester City on Saturday meaning the Blues are very likely to drop points.

Therefore, a win or draw vs Huddersfield would have seen Arsenal move into a Champions League place, for at least a couple of hours.

Despite being at home and starting both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, Arsenal would fail to break Huddersfield down in the first-half and have just one shot on target.

Mustafi & Sokratis suspended

While there was no goals in the first half, there was plenty of yellow cards, two of which went to Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

This was terrible news for Arsenal as it was both defenders 5th yellow card of the season.

As a result, Arsenal will be without their main centre-back duo for their next league game vs Southampton.

Mustafi would receive his yellow card for diving, however, some Arsenal fans believe it was not a dive.

Arsenal would eventually take the lead in the 83rd minute through Lucas Torreira.
