Barcelona Can’t afford 30m euros
Barcelona have made contact with Levante over the possibility of signing Roger Marti.
The Catalans are free to bring in an emergency forward from the Spanish market after the long-term injury to Ousmane Dembele.
Roger‘s release clause of 30 million euros is too expensive for Barcelona, whose financial restrictions have stopped moves for Rodrigo Moreno and Willian Jose so far.
There’s also interest in Real Betis‘ Loren Moron and Alaves‘ Lucas Perez, but Roger has become a real option.
The Levante striker is the top scoring Spaniard in LaLiga Santander this season with 10 goals, while he has a contract until 2023.
However, Levante president Quico Catalan has revealed that Roger will receive a bigger contract if anyone makes a bid of 12 million euros or more for him.
