Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is reportedly in Italy on Thursday to discuss deals for Juventus trio Daniele Rugani, Gonzalo Higuain and Miralem Pjanic.
With the new Premier League campaign fast approaching, time is running out for the Blues to strengthen Maurizio Sarri’s squad and allow him to stamp his mark on it.

The former Napoli boss has a very different style to that of predecessor Antonio Conte, as he has adopted a more expansive and attacking style of play as apposed to the more pragmatic approach from his compatriot.
In turn, following the signing of Jorginho, who will undoubtedly be key in controlling things in the heart of the midfield, more is arguably needed to give Sarri the tools necessary to ensure he has a successful first season at Stamford Bridge.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Granovskaia is reportedly working hard to make that a reality as it’s claimed she has flown out to Italy on Thursday with Juventus trio Rugani, Higuain and Pjanic on the agenda.
Rugani is given a €55m valuation by the report, while it’s claimed that Pjanic is valued at €100m with no mention of how much Higuain will command.
Sarri knows Rugani well from their time together at Empoli, while Higuain enjoyed his most prolific campaign under the coach’s stewardship in Naples in the 2015/16 campaign with 38 goals in just 42 games.
Further, Pjanic has the technical quality and passing range to fit Sarri’s plans perfectly, but it remains to be seen just how successful the touted trip is in terms of securing potential deals as the trio are all undoubtedly crucial to Juve’s plans.
Juventus splashed out in excess of €100m on Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, as per the club’s statement. With that in mind, it could force them to consider sales, or it could be seen as the final piece in the puzzle to not only extend their domestic dominance but also to land the Champions League next season.
