Crystal Palace are interested in signing West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate according to Sky Sports.

What’s the story?

The 28-year-old joined the Hammers in 2014 and has gone on to make 129 appearances for the club since he signed, scoring 12 goals.

The versatile midfielder, who is valued at £10.8million on Transfermarkt, and according to the report, West Ham are listening to offers around £10million for the Senegal international.

No offers have been made yet but Crystal Palace are said to be interested in signing Kouyate as West Ham look to raise funds to offset their big spending.

Solid option

Kouyate may not be the most glamorous signing for Crystal Palace but he is a very reliable player who would do the job at central midfield for Roy Hodgson’s team.

He can also play in defence and would be a useful member of the team as Hodgson looks to add strength and physicality to his side.
