David De Gea has ‘mental problems’
On Friday, Spanish paper El Confidencial have a report into Man United goalie David De Gea.
According to the update, De Gea is suffering with mental issues during the World Cup.
El Confidencial note that De Gea is “one of the main sources of criticism” in Russia. The Man United keeper is labelled “insecure” while it’s suggested that De Gea has “weaknesses in his head”.
The question is asked, “how can De Gea be reset?”
The answer isn’t straightforward and El Confidencial report that there is no sports psychologist embedded in the Spain camp in Russia.
Man United keeper is ‘the worst’
El Confidencial also announce that David De Gea has the worst save stats at the World Cup.
De Gea has only saved 16.7% of all the shots he’s faced at the World Cup.
The Man United keeper has conceded five times and saved just once.
The only other keeper to have performed as badly as De Gea is Juventus and Poland goalie Wojciech Szczesny.
By comparison, Tottenham and France’s Hugo Lloris has a 75% save ratio, while Chelsea and Belgium keeper Thibaut Courtois is 71.4%.
