James Morrison was released by West Brom following the club’s relegation from the Premier League and reportedly tasked with proving his fitness to Darren Moore following an achilles injury.
The Express and Star report that he has done exactly that and Baggies boss Moore has consequently offered him a new contract to rejoin the club and boost their efforts to get back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.
However, West Brom are not the only Midlands club in need of midfield reinforcements and Birmingham City are looking to reshape their squad ahead of a promotion push following season after season of underachievement.
