Diop linked with Man United
Issa Diop joined West Ham United last summer from Ligue 1 side, Toulouse.
The Hammers are believed to have paid around £22.5m for the Frenchman.
Diop’s debut season in England saw him make 38 appearances across all competitions for West Ham, in which he scored twice.
After a solid debut campaign, the 22-year-old was linked with a move to Manchester United.
“He is a player that fits [Manchester] United’s profile this summer.”
Is Issa Diop worth the reported ‘£45m + player’ deal that Manchester United are willing to pay?

Diop on West Ham
Man United did sign a central defender over the summer but it was Harry Maguire, not Diop.
Diop would then start in West Ham’s opening game of the 2019/20 Premier League season against Manchester City. West Ham would be hammered 5-0.
Now, in a recent interview, Diop has been speaking about his West Ham future.
Diop states that West Ham is not a springboard to go elsewhere and is the club where he wants to try and become the best defender:
“West Ham, for me, it was not and is still not a springboard to go elsewhere, it’s the club where I want to try to become the best defender I can be, compared to my qualities.
“Whether technical, tactical, physical, I still have a large margin of progression.” As quoted by the Evening Standard.
Diop also spoke about his desire to play for the French national side:
“It is the performance that I will make in the match that will determine if I have the level to play with Les Bleus (France).
“It’s up to me to work. That’s how I see things.
“All very good players go into the national team. Well, if I am very good, it will come if it should come. Obviously it’s a goal, but the proof that I deserve to reach it, it’s me who must give it.” As quoted by the Evening Standard.
West Ham’s next game is away to Brighton on Saturday, August 17th.
