Liverpool 6 – Tranmere 0
Liverpool kicked off their 2019 preseason vs Tranmere Rovers on Thursday the 11th of July.
While Liverpool didn’t have a full strength squad, they still ran out a fairly strong side, that included the likes of Joe Gomez, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

It would be forgotten right-back Nathaniel Clyne who opened the scoring inside six minutes on this occasion.
Rhian Brewster then got his preseason off to an excellent start by scoring a brace.
After that, Curtis Jones, Divock Origi and Bobby Duncan all found themselves on the scoresheet.
Liverpool’s next preseason clash sees them face Bradford City on the 14th of July.
Speaking after the game, Jurgen Klopp was asked about Liverpool’s transfer dealings.
According to the Mirror, Liverpool have already been linked with players such as Nicolas Pepe, Philippe Coutinho and Marco Asensio this summer.
However, when speaking about transfers, Klopp hinted that this window would not be the biggest for his side:
“Rhian Brewster; Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t play last year; all the young boys today. They are all new players for us, that’s all good.
“The transfer market is open until August 8. The whole of Europe had the idea to close the transfer window early and the only country that did it was then England, so we close it now three weeks before all the others.
“We will see what we do but I don’t think it will be the biggest transfer window of all time.” As quoted by the Mirror.
