Roma are said to be offering Aleksandar Kolarov a new contract, which would include a future role within the club.

The left-back turns 34 next month and his current deal is due to expire at the end of this season.

He had been linked with a move to Turkey over the summer, but the player and Giallorossi turned down all offers.

According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, Roma are now proposing a new contract for Kolarov.

It would run to June 2021, with option for a second season, and more importantly a basic agreement to join the club as a director once he has retired.

The Serbian joined from Manchester City for €5m in 2017.
