Ligue 1 No offer on the table
Paris Saint-Germain know it won’t be easy to tie Kylian Mbappe down to a new deal.
The forward’s contract with the Ligue 1 champions runs out in 2022 and, after Zinedine Zidane‘s comments, a move to Real Madrid could be on the cards.
According to L’Equipe, a contract renewal for Mbappe isn’t top of PSG‘s priorities at the moment and they know it’ll be difficult to get him to sign one.
L’Equipe go on to say that PSG can’t afford to offer Mbappe the same wages that Neymar earns, 30 million euros a year after tax.
The French newspaper say that there is no contract offer for Mbappe on the table from PSG right now.
After PSG‘s elimination by Manchester United in the Champions League last season, Mbappe hinted at his desire to leave the club.
However, he’s still insisting to the club that he remains committed and wants to succeed in Paris.
On the other hand, another Champions League disappointment could cause Mbappe to start to question his future and whether he’d consider a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
