Manchester City have this morning been dealt a boost on the personnel front, ahead of their upcoming clash with Wolves.
Man City vs Wolves
The Citizens are set to welcome Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to the Etihad for a Premier League matchup next Monday evening.
Hosts City head into proceedings brimming with confidence, having embarked on a remarkable (even by their own sky-high standards) run of form of late.
After putting Liverpool to the sword by 2 goals to 1 in a crucial Premier League showdown last week, the Sky Blues have since gone on to rack up a staggering 16 goals across a pair of cup outings.
Pep Guardiola’s men first put 7 past Rotherham in an FA Cup 3rd-round tie last weekend. And City incredibly went on to top this 7 goal-haul on Wednesday evening, when they found the net 9 times without reply versus Burton Albion in the first leg of the clubs’ League Cup semi-final tie.

As such, it goes without saying that the Premier League champions are not exactly in dire need of a personnel boost on the attacking front.
Nevertheless, though, this is precisely what City have this morning been handed, with news that Sergio Aguero has returned to first-team training.

It remains to be seen whether Pep Guardiola opts to slot Aguero back into his starting XI with immediate effect, though. City’s other recognized centre-forward, Gabriel Jesus, has notched 5 goals in his last 2 appearances.
