Dan Wright meets Man City’s Riyad Mahrez
Sky Sports’ Dan Wright has posted a brilliant new video up on his Twitter channel with Man City star Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez joined Man City for 60 million pounds from Leicester in the summer.
Now 27, Riyad Mahrez was born in Sarcelles, France. That’s one of the boroughs around Paris.
During the interview, Mahrez has discussed why he grew up around so many amazing French footballers in his neighbourhood.
He claims that there’s something different about kids in France and in England.
The Algerian international claimed that he never sees kids playing in the streets in England.
By contrast, Mahrez revealed he used to sleep out overnight in the streets after playing football outside all day.

Of course, despite being born in France, Mahrez plays his international football for Algeria.
Yet, his neighbourhood contributed to many of the main players in the 2018 France World Cup winning side.
Eight players in Didier Deschamps’ squad grew up in that area.
They include PSG’s teenager superstar Kylian Mbappe. While Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, Man United’s Paul Pogba and Man City’s Benjamin Mendy were all born in close proximity.
The issue of how immigration has affected the French national team has been explored by Vox.
