He has now left the club, sparking a frantic scramble for his signature.

Odubeko’s decision to leave has alerted clubs across the continent.

Odubeko looks like he will not be the only striker leaving Old Trafford this summer with Romelu Lukaku nearing the exit.

Inter Milan’s sporting director Piero Ausilio confirmed on Thursday night that the club have made an official approach to United for the Belgian.

Lukaku has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer after losing his place at the forefront of United’s attack last season.

Antonio Conte has made Lukaku his priority in the summer window as he looks to overhaul his attack following his arrival at the San Siro.
