Man Utd have reportedly made an enquiry for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, who is said to have a £65m price tag.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed quite the rise to prominence in the last few years, going from relegation with Hull City to impressing for the Foxes before establishing himself as a key figure for England under Gareth Southgate at the 2018 World Cup this summer.

Given his defensive solidity, composure and distribution on the ball and the aerial threat he poses in the opposition box, it’s no surprise that he is attracting interest from elsewhere.
With that in mind, The Mirror claim that Man Utd are eager to snap up the England international and have informed Leicester of their intention of signing him this summer despite his £65m valuation.
It remains to be seen whether or not they are able to prise him away from the King Power Stadium given Maguire’s importance to Leicester, while question marks could be raised over whether or not Jose Mourinho really needs another centre-half in his squad.
The Portuguese tactician can already call upon Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof and Marcos Rojo at Old Trafford, and so while he aims to cut the gap to rivals Manchester City in the Premier League title race this coming season, it’s debatable as to whether another defensive star should be the priority.
Nevertheless, based on this report, it would appear as though he’s keen on acquiring Maguire who would be a quality addition and would arguably enhance what he already has. Should a move to Man Utd materialise though, it remains to be seen if he’s capable of making that next step up in his career to produce consistently at the highest level and across various competitions including in Europe.
