Claudio Marchisio believes there are no problems with Juventus, even if Serie A is now “more competitive” with Inter rivalling them.

Marchisio, who recently retired from football, was in Rome picking up the Andrea Fortunato award, named in memory of the ex-Juve defender who tragically died of leukaemia at the age of 23 in 1995.

“Serie A is more interesting, but I don’t see Juve in any trouble,” he told reporters.

people always find flaws, even when they win 10 games in a row. But they [Juve] are used to it.

“For us, it’s nice to see a more competitive League.”

Whereas Maurizio Sarri has taken longer to implement his ideas at Juve, ex-Bianconeri boss Antonio Conte has made an instant impact at Inter, who top Serie A by a point…

“It does not seem that there’s any problems with [Maurizio] Sarri at Juve, whilst the reaction of Conte to Inter was almost immediate.

The season is long, and Juve have a fantastic squad, and they’re always favourite.”

Marchisio played for the Old Lady’s first team between 2005 and 2018, making 389 appearances in all competitions.
