Liverpool surprised the football world by reaching the Champions League final last season.
Jurgen Klopp’s scintillating Reds blasted away the opposition to make it to Kiev, but it was a disappointing end for the team.
A dislocated shoulder to their best player Mohamed Salah and two goalkeeping howlers from Loris Karius resulted in a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid.
Liverpool have been tipped as Premier League title contenders this season and they will hope to make it to another European final.
However, they have already been unlucky as far as the seeding goes as they have been placed in Pot 3.
This means that during Thursday’s draw in Monaco, Liverpool could be placed in a group containing either Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain or Lokomotiv Moscow.
The club could also take on Borussia Dortmund, Napoli or Roma in what would be a very tough group.
On Twitter, though, plenty of fans are feeling calm about the situation, and some of them want Real Madrid to be thrown into the pot so that the Reds can get revenge.
Liverpool will DEFINITELY face one of:
🔘 Real Madrid
🔘 Atletico Madrid
🔘 Bayern Munich
🔘 Paris Saint-Germain
🔘 Lokomotiv Moscow
