Manchester United star Timothy Fosu-Mensah has official departed to Fulham on a temporary basis for the upcoming Premier League season.
The Dutchman was on loan with Crystal Palace in the last campaign and impressed as he got plenty of minutes to aid with his development.
Some fans have grown frustrated with Jose Mourinho’s reluctance to involve Fosu-Mensah in the first team, especially given United’s failure to sign a new centre-back.
Some supporters seem to believe the versatile player had enough to be a part of the squad for upcoming season but it’s clear the Portuguese manager thinks otherwise.
Mourinho spoke about how he only sends players out on loan for the sake of their own development and so they’re guaranteed minutes.
According the club’s official website, Timothy will be on loan with Fulham for the whole season as he continues his development.
With the Red Devils the youngster was unlikely to truly get any game time due to the club being overstocked in all the positions he plays in.
Jose’s midfield has the likes of Fred, Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini.
The defence has Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot and Antonio Valencia.
