Alexandre Pato hit back at reports he is leaving Tianjin Quanjian for a return to Milan. “I never said that.”

The Brazilian has been repeatedly linked with a move to San Siro over the last few days, even taking a massive pay cut to push through the transfer.

“I never said I’m leaving Tianjin Quanjian. I never said I was coming back to Sao Paolo. And I never said I was going to Milan,” he wrote on Twitter.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the options aren’t there, but rather than nothing has been decided, let alone announced.

La Gazzetta dello Sport today suggest Milan directors are more inclined to go for Pato than Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the January transfer window, as they are concerned by the LA Galaxy striker’s fitness levels.
