Everything has stopped in football due to the coronavirus crisis, but clubs are still contemplating a lot and the behind the scenes work never comes to a halt.

Real Madrid are no different; the club have a number of questions that they need to think about and there are decisions that need to be made.

Nobody at Real Madrid knows if Modric will be at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu next season.

The Croatian has a year left on his contract in the capital and he has an offer on the table from Inter Miami in MLS.

Modric himself has his doubts, too. He’s seen that his prominence is gradually fading and he knows that he only has one more big contract in him.

The club will be happy to fully respect the player’s decision, though, as they appreciate his status as a legend and will honour his wishes.

Real Madrid know that they want to get Achraf back from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, but he only wants to return if he’s guaranteed to play.

The Moroccan is versatile, able to play at both right- and left-back, which is something that excites Los Blancos.

Real Madrid will look for Alvaro Odriozola to leave permanently, especially if Zinedine Zidane is still in his job as coach, but finding a club to pay near the 40 million euros they splashed in 2018 won’t be easy.

The Serb hasn’t been the answer Real Madrid wanted last summer, and his two goals aren’t enough.

He’s barely played and that doesn’t look likely to change before the season ends.

Erling Haaland is the standout name, and Real Madrid will hope that English sides step up for Jovic.

This one has nothing to do with the one that followed Thibaut Courtois at the beginning of 2019/20, but rather between the backup options between Alphonse Areola and Andriy Lunin.

Courtois is undoubtedly the No.1, but the Ukrainian had seemed destined to take the place of second goalkeeper, yet that’s no longer so clear.

Real Madrid have a verbal agreement with Ajax to sign Van de Beek, but it remains to be seen if Los Blancos will make a concrete move in the summer.

Ajax are committed to the deal, but Zidane could go back in for Paul Pogba if he’s still in charge.

Real Madrid are clear that they want the Norwegian back at the club, but the player isn’t sure and wants to play.

He wants to talk to the coach before making any decisions and Los Blancos will still have to negotiate with Real Sociedad, where he has an agreement to stay for next season as well.

Real Madrid know that he’d be one of the signings of the season and would be effectively free.

The Spaniard has no place at the Bernabeu under Zidane.

He knows he can’t stay in Madrid under the Frenchman if he wants to play at the European Championship.

Options won’t be short for the player though, even if Real Madrid will be expecting a nice fee.
