Rafa Benitez met up with the media on Friday afternoon ahead of Sunday’s match.
Newcastle take on Wolves as they try to build on a six match run where they have picked up 11 points.
Wolves are currently six points and two places ahead of the Magpies.
The NUFC boss had good news today, confirming he is set to have two Newcastle stars back in contention.
Kenedy missed Everton because of a toe injury but Rafa confirmed he is now training again and if he trains ok on Saturday, he will be in the squad.
Paul Dummett was injured when away with Wales last month, his hamstring injury has now cleared up and Rafa Benitez says that he will also be in contention against Wolves, once more though with the proviso that he doesn’t have any setback in training tomorrow.
The pair are of course first choice players and make up the usual left hand side of the team.
Even more credit to the team at Everton for picking up a deserved draw despite missing a number of players.
The Manager also stated that he hasn’t spoken to Mike Ashley this week, after the owner claimed on Monday that he was close to selling the club.
“Kenedy is fine, he has been training… hopefully he can train tomorrow, and then he will be available.
“If Dummett trains tomorrow without any problem, he is another option.
“Wolves are a very good team – they have had the same manager for a while and have been playing the same way.
“This group of players deserve credit because they are doing a fantastic job.
“The team has confidence that he (Rondón) can be on the end of crosses.”
