Barcelona are reportedly ready to activate the €111m release clause in Inter forward Lautaro Martinez’ contract.
The Argentine forward has impressed at the Giuseppe Meazza this term and Mundo Deportivo reports that the Blaugrana are now planning on how to accommodate another non-EU citizen in their squad.
Each club in Spain can only register three players from outside of the European Union and according to the Spanish newspaper, they are now preparing to bring Martinez to Catalonia this summer.
He has a release-clause in his current deal at San Siro and the La Liga giants are willing to spend the €111m necessary to free him from his contract.
But according to TyC Sports from South America, they might get competition from their arch-rivals Real Madrid. Such a deal will be of interest also to Florentino Perez, according to the South American outlet.
