Mauro Icardi has reportedly threatened to see out the remaining two years of his contract with Inter.
It was confirmed on Saturday that Inter would not be taking Mauro Icardi to the International Champions Cup and had sent him home from their training camp in Lugano.
Although the club stress it was a joint decision, La Repubblica claims the striker did not respond well to being shut out of their preseason plans.
“I’ll stay here for two years, take my salary and I won’t move,” he is quoted as saying by the newspaper.
Such a stance could scupper the Beneamata’s pursuit of Manchester United hitman Romelu Lukaku.
