Ricardo Rodriguez’s agent has denied that the left-back will “run away” from Milan in January and is expecting “new possibilities” with Stefano Pioli.
It was reported earlier on Friday that Everton had joined the race to sign Rodriguez, who has fallen behind new boy Theo Hernandez in Milan’s left-back pecking order.
“It’s all media speculation,” Gianluca Di Domenico hit back via Rete Uno.
“Ricardo grew up in Zurich, he spent five-and-a-half years at Wolfsburg and he’s been at Milan for two-and-a-half years, so it’s clear that he’s never run away from problems.
“Right now, there’s no reason to panic: it’s true that he didn’t play in the last three games, but this is part of football because at the top teams there must always be two strong left- backs.
“A new coach has just arrived at Milan so there will be new possibilities. Now he’s focused on the national team.”
