Nantes vs PSG

There’s one match in Ligue 1 on Wednesday as Nantes host champions-elect PSG.

PSG saw their lead at the top of the table cut down from 20 to 17 points last weekend.

Lille, second in the table, scored a fabulous 5-1 win over the Paris powerhouse.

Can Nantes make it two defeats in a row for PSG? Nantes come into the game after a 2-1 win over Lyon which boosted their survival hopes.

However PSG recently beat Nantes 3-0 in the Coupe de France semifinal.

Kylian Mbappe dropped as a punishment

According to Le Parisien, Kylian Mbappe will be dropped for tonight’s away match against Nantes.

Manager Thomas Tuchel is punishing the French forward for his behaviour after the Lille defeat.

Mbappe was vocal after the Lille game.

TV cameras caught the World Cup winner fuming that the referees aren’t being honest.

However Mbappe also fumed his own squad to reporters in the mixed zone.

Naturally, if Mbappe is dropped against Nantes, some will again wonder about the striker’s future at PSG.

PSG’s failure to cut it in the Champions League has plunged doubts about the likes of Neymar and Mbappe remaining at the club for much longer.
