Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates 5 Champions Leagues

Real Madrid will live on without Cristiano

Bernabeu star Sergio Ramos has explained that ‘no one is above Real Madrid’ following Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus move.

The Portuguese star left Real Madrid for the Italian giants this summer after the club made an audacious move for him.

They eventually thrashed out a £105million deal and he left the Bernabeu, 9 years and 438 goals after signing from Manchester United.

However, the show must go on and Real Madrid will now look to stay at the top of European football despite losing their talisman.

‘In Real Madrid’s history many have come and gone, but Real Madrid continue to win’

Now, Sergio Ramos has explained that Real Madrid will live on without Cristiano and despite many big names leaving the club in the past, Los Blancos continue to dominate football.

“We have had lots of success, which is because we are a family and he was part of that family, which we have continued to have,” Ramos explained, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.

“It’s obviously a negative when you lose a player like Cristiano Ronaldo, but we can continue to win and in Real Madrid’s history many have come and gone, but Real Madrid continue to win.

“No one is above Real Madrid, whatever happens, Real Madrid will continue to live on and it was his choice to leave.

“The decisions are not mine to make, but the doors are always open to those that want to be part of Real Madrid.

“Losing Ronaldo was hard, but no player is above Real Madrid and we still have the hunger to improve and win more titles.

“The mindset we have is more important than any individuals in the team.”
