Loads of Everton fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news, as German reports claim Ademola Lookman to Red Bull Leipzig is just about a done deal.
Leipzig’s chase of Lookman has brought lots of different opinions from Everton fans. Plenty of fans feel the 20 year-old has a lot to offer at Goodison, but others would be happy to make a tidy profit on a player who has hardly played for the club.
It’s looking like the latter may get their wish, as one German newspaper has claimed Leipzig are set to sign the winger for between €16m and €18m (around £15m).
According to LVZ (via Ronan Murphy), the deal is nearly done, and Murphy has followed up by saying Everton could be willing to sell if Richarlison comes in.
Lookman spent the second half of last season on loan with the German side, and scored five goals in 11 Bundesliga appearances.
If he did enough to convince Leipzig to splash out £15m on him then it does seem bizarre that Everton are so open to selling him, and loads of fans are bashing this latest report.
Suspicions have been raised even further by claims he is not with the squad for their trip to Portugal, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
If we are selling him then surely that fee is absolutely ridiculous. In this crazy market if they want a top young talent three surely £25m is a minimum we should accept?

Unless he’s forcing the move it’s ridiculous decision by Everton! Looked there most threatening player when played last season & to top it all off they’re spending 50m on imo an inferior prospect

Even if he is forcing it id hold out for 25+ for him, if they want him enough to try and rattle him then they can pay the price

Beyond ridiculous if true

If thats true, it will be a shocking bit of business. Selling quality young English players on the cheap. Not a sign of an ambitious club.

So much for Marco Silva’s tough and firm stance on not selling him. Guess when you’re about to overpay our the ass for someone like Richarlison, you need to make up the money somewhere.
