The fall-out from Malcom’s decision to join Barcelona rather than Roma continues to rumble on with the Italian club now pursuing legal action against the player’s representatives over comments that the decision was made so as to get their own back.
Malcom was due to board a plane to sign for Roma before instead going to Barcelona. Roma were unhappy with the behaviour of the player and his representatives and then Leonardo Cornacini of TMW said that they had broken off negotiations with Roma following the way that they had been treated.
“We were working on a Fuzato move, who is one of our players and then Roma completed the deal with another agent,” said Cornacini.
“They treated us badly and so we gave it back to them. Seeing the way that Roma behaved, we along with Malcom decided to go somewhere else other than Roma.”
