The crowd that attended the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday enjoyed an unforgettable night for the first time in a while.

Real Madrid played well, scored with ease, took a step closer to qualification for the last 16, various players were at their best and, if only a little, the fans had the impression that they were witnessing live a special moment: the birth of a star, Rodrygo Goes.

It’s not a small matter because the Real Madrid fans have been waiting for an exciting new face for some time and Eden Hazard is delaying, although he’ll end up reaching the level expected of him eventually.

After the game, the RealMadrid TV cameras captured a touching moment. In a night where he’d scored three goals, Rodrygo seemed like a veteran as he entered the dressing room, smiling with the match ball under his arm and receiving congratulations from the physios and his teammates.

Between all the commotion, there was an emotional hug from his friend, teammate and rival for a starting place, Vinicius Junior. His joy was sincere despite going through a tough time.

Although he wasn’t included in the squad for the match, he wanted to go down to the dressing room to celebrate his colleague’s great day, which an injured James Rodriguez did too.

Gareth Bale is also competing with Rodrygo for a place in the team. He couldn’t congratulate the youngster because he’d already left the stadium before full time and the Brazilian hadn’t even scored his third goal.

It’s the second time in a week that the Welshman hasn’t waited for the final whistle to get up and leave. As strange at it seems, the internal rules at Real Madrid allow him to do it.

Players that aren’t in the matchday squad aren’t forced to watch the whole game, only the first 80 minutes.

Whether Bale‘s playing by the rules or not, it’s about application, professionalism and common sense. It was understandable to leave early against GalatasarayKarim Benzema had made it 5-0 after 81 minutes and the game was done.

There’s no excuse for leaving early while Real Madrid were still level with Real Betis. Leaving early at that stage shows that you couldn’t care less about the team or your teammates and it speaks volumes about your commitment to the club.

Since getting injured during the last international break, Bale hasn’t played against Real Mallorca, Galatasaray twice, Leganes or Real Betis, but now he’ll miraculously recover to play for Wales again in the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers. That’s Bale‘s commitment to Real Madrid.
