Crotone President Gianni Vrenna fears referee Paolo Tagliavento will “do more damage, because he already took two points off us” against Cagliari.

The Calabrese club risk relegation in Sunday’s final round, as they are in the bottom three with 90 minutes to go.

“Tagliavento took two points off us with a disallowed goal against Cagliari and they weigh heavily on our season,” Vrenna told reporters.

“They risk causing us huge problems. Let’s not cry over spilt milk two days before a decisive match. We go to Napoli convinced the team is in good shape and can get a result.

“Admittedly, seeing Tagliavento assigned to the Cagliari game against Atalanta as fourth official… let’s hope he doesn’t do more damage.”

Cagliari are on 36 points, while Crotone have 35, on a par with SPAL.
