Southampton held their first official fans’ forum in three years at St Mary’s on Thursday night, and Saints fans were quick to have their say on what vice-chairman Les Reed said throughout on Twitter.
Were your questions answered?
Were you satisfied with what the men in charge of your club had to say at the Southampton Fans Forum?

Reed was one member of the quartet – Ralph Krueger, Mark Hughes and new boy Danny Ings were the others – on the four-man panel, and both he and Krueger were targeted by those present following a disappointing couple of years that has seen two managers sacked, a 17th-placed finish last term and some below-par transfer buys.
The 65-year-old spoke on a number of subjects, but the unhappiness with him was clear to see as he was heckled by some throughout the hour show.
Southampton supporters, some of whom have tipped a previously-critcised 24-year-old to bounce back under Hughes this season, took to social media to give their thoughts on what Reed had to say, and while one said “we’d soon be sorry if he did leave”, another said “Les is just the definition of clueless”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
Reed and Kruger were embarrassing shouldn’t be anywhere near our club

Perhaps it’s time to stop moaning about Les & Ralph and draw a line under the last couple of seasons (better the devil you know), looks like we have a decent manager in Hughes, the 5 new lads look good, let’s get behind the boss & team and enjoy the season #SaintsFC #COYRs 🔴⚪️

Les’ comments on the Carrillo transfer was interesting – he almost sounded adamant that the signing was the right thing to do. He’s that deluded he even thinks he has a part to play still. #SaintsFC

Way too many #saintsfc fans forget the progress we’ve made under Les Reed’s guidance. Last year was disappointing for everyone involved but we got the right man at the helm. We’d soon be sorry if he did leave.

Hughes and Ings came across well, which is exactly why they were on the panel. Les I thought was ok and I can’t stand the bloke.. Ralph was his usual PR waffling self and added nothing we hadn’t already heard. As long as he is at #saintsfc there will be no ‘transparency’..

Les is just the definition of clueless…

This is good from Les on net spend. Very accurate. Fair. And true. #saintsfc

Les looks like a broken man! Really struggling and seems nervous #saintsfc

Les Reed trying to defend spending £19m on Guido Carrillo by saying he’s still our player and he’ll come back from his loan and perform… I think it’s clear we’ll just offload him again without seeing him in a #SaintsFC shirt.
Les Reed always talking nonsense to cover himself.
