The Welshman has potentially played his last game for the club and could be heading for the Bernabeu exit door this summer.
Bale, though, reportedly spoke to team-mates before Sunday’s defeat to Real Betis in the changing room, informing them of his plan to stay put.
According to Spanish station Radio Estadio, he said: “I’ve got three years left on my contract. If they want me to go, they’ll need to pay me €17m per season.
“If not, I’ll stay here. And if I have to play golf, I will.”
Bale was left on the bench as Real Madrid lost their final game of the season 2-0 to Real Betis.
After the full-time whistle he headed straight down the tunnel as opposed to taking part in the lap of appreciation.
Zinedine Zidane was asked whether the 29-year-old deserved a chance to play potentially his final match, but the Frenchman did not beat around the bush.
“I’m sorry he didn’t get to play, but no-one knows what will happen,” he said.
