Real Madrid Assures the teen will be used
Vinicius Junior has struggled for minutes at Real Madrid this season, but Zinedine Zidane is adamant that he has confidence in the Brazilian forward.
Having burst onto the scene last term, it was thought that Vinicius would take a step forward again this season, but Zidane appears reluctant to play him.
“He has my complete confidence, I guarantee that,” Zidane said at his Friday press conference.
“He’s 19 years old and will be the future of Madrid.
“Everything takes time and it’s a process of doing things well.”
Eden Hazard could make his debut for the club, but the Frenchman will be cautious.
“We have to go slowly with him because he’s been injured for three weeks,” Zidane explained.
“We all really want to see him, but we have to be calm. There’s a lot of pressure and expectation.”
Gareth Bale‘s summer saga has been put in the past now, with the Welshman impressing so far this season, though he will be unavailable for the Levante match after receiving two yellow cards away to Villarreal before the international break.
“Everyone knew what was happening in the summer,” he said.
“He’s happy now and so am I.
“We have to pull forward now. Gareth is one of my players and it’s my philosophy to believe in all of my players.
“We are all guilty of good and bad, but we’re in the same boat.”
